Liriope Mystery
I continue to have difficulty with this software. I had the 3 pictures captioned and expected those would
separate them. Any way, there is the liriope in full bloom , a close-up of the flowers and then the blue buds.
It seems that no one in this area has been able to identify this species or hybrid. It came from the now retired garden editor of the local newspaper. The blue attracts some birds. Given the large amount I have planted I have the beauties to look at most of the winter. This is used as a border outside a border because of its rhyzomatous spread. It gets no special care whatsoever. and part of the border is in full sun and part in partial shade!!! Any ideas?
